The Phoenix Suns will wear their “Los Suns” jerseys for Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals on Wednesday night.
Team owner Robert Sarver said,
“to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation.
They’ve decided to wear the Los Suns jerseys because their game falls on the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
This gesture was thought about by Phoenix Suns general manager Steve Kerr. They had the idea as they were flying home from Portland last week.
The Phoenix Suns wore the “Los Suns” jerseys twice in the regular season and they won both outing.
