The No. 9 overall pick from way back three years ago, Ted Ginn Jr., was acquired by 49ers for a fifth-round pick. The 49ers believe that he can still be a reliable receiver. He is 25.
Ginn was said that he wasn’t anything special as a receiver with five touchdowns in three seasons. He averaged only 34.7 receiving yards per game and contributed just five receiving touchdowns over three seasons when the Dolphins drafted him ninth overall in 2007.
His importance came to a turn last season when he was able to do two touchdowns in a single game and a 24.9-yard average. The trade is said to be Trent Baalke’s first big move, who took over after Scot McCloughan’s exit.
